Season kicks off tomorrow!

17 Jul 2020 by Carmela Wilson

The season kicks off tomorrow! Teams either have already or will be receiving notification from team managers. Access fixtures through this app- click on your son’s team.

Although community contact sport is going ahead, we need to be mindful and ensure we adhere to ACT government and health requirements.

Participants (including players, parents, coaches, referees, volunteers) are not to return to matches if they:
Feel unwell;
Have any flu-like symptoms;
Have travelled internationally or been exposed to a person with COVID-19 in the preceding 14 days; or
Are at a high risk from a health perspective, including the elderly and those with pre-existing medical health conditions
We are also reminding our players that we will not be sharing drink bottles, shin pads or clothing. There will be no handshaking after a match has concluded- we will still cheer for the opposition, regardless of the result! :)

Hand sanitiser has been provided to every team and must be used at the start and end of the game.

We must also promote physical distancing of 1.5 metres between spectators.

Currently, our change rooms are out of order as there is a large amount of scaffolding in the area.

You can access our ‘Return to Play’ plan via the Capital Football website this evening or contact me if you would like a copy.

Capital Football has posted the following article in preparation for tomorrow.
